Commerce counselor Anders Wiklöf’s holiday home is located on his privately owned grounds, Andersudde, about 10 minutes’ drive from Mariehamn, on the island of Åland. This 750 square meter house is home for Anders’s art collection, which includes more than 100 paintings from artists such as Anders Zorn, Bruno Liljefors, Carl Larsson and Peter Dahl.
Anders welcomes us to his home and takes us on a tour around the house. He is proud to show us his art collection which is unnoticeably heavily secured.
For example, Carl Larsson’s Midvinterblot, which was bought by the National Gallery and Diskkasterskan -a highly priced feminist painting by Gittan Jönsson, is hanging on the walls as if they were just any painting.
Anders bought a few different style variations of our empire chandeliers.
One of them is hanging from the ceiling of his latest expansion of the house, the concert room, which consists of an amphitheater that is located deep into the mountain. On the picture above; Our finest crystal chandelier Herakles in the 2,1 meter version. Also found at the Sager Palace (the residence of the Swedish prime minister)
